Mata Verde Bonita - After-Action activity

16/09/23

The Rio de Janeiro cell, over a period of approximately one year and three months, conducted post-action activities in the Mata Verde Bonita Indigenous Village, a community located in Maricá where an initiative was carried out at the end of 2019.

Through quarterly solution monitoring in 2022, we were informed that some posts in the community were defective. Following this communication, we made an on-site visit to the community to maintain these posts, including changing the controller technology to circuit-based; replacing batteries; hermetic boxes; components; and bottles.

This entire process began in June 2022 and concluded in September 2023, alongside the new ambassador training, where we trained 6 new ambassadors in the community.

During this period, there was also an event for the youth of the community, an idea that arose from a need expressed by the community leader, Chief Jurema. Concerned about the youth feeling demotivated and lacking expectations or dreams for the future, a day-long event was organized focusing on empowering and awakening the dreams of these young individuals, with games, activities, and training sessions.
